Jodey Kendrick has been at it for a while, dropping classics on labels like Rephlex and WeMe under his own name and a few aliases as well. The +10 moniker has slowly become a main focus of late, and so it is high time for a glance back at the roots of this all-things-go braindance project, namely his 2007 debut LP Grace which WeMe is now reissuing physically for the first time. Famously plucked from a batch of 500 demos from the York madman, +10 delivers all sorts of sounds and clever designs here while still maintaining dancefloor utility. From the 8-bit sound synths on ‘Ava’ and ‘Youcun’ to the more alien textures on the back half, Grace is an early triumph and a showcase for the impressive range +10 has since honed in during the recent years.
