On the latest in Tripalium Corp’s Acid Avengers series, stalwart producers D’Arcangelo and Karsten Pflum team up for a split EP, where acid distortions and detuned synths transform each track from ticking drum machine rhythms to dreamy alien landscapes. Abstracted percussion is thrown into a thundering vortex on the ripping electronica of ‘Walker Two’, and a complex array of synth lines on ‘MAC101’ layers right angled acid glitches and racing 8bit stabs. Rebounding crashes and speeding electro beats meanwhile populate ‘Hornfish Acid’, with Pflum later unleashing a clip of dense jungle breaks soaked in acid rain.
