Echospace [Detroit] restores a gorgeous slice of space-age house to its rightful glory with this reissue/remaster of cv313’s seconds to forever 12”. Three variations on a cosmic theme, the title track’s original composition is a world unto itself with its vaporous air-locked synths and dizzying beat, but cv313’s [reshape] edit boosts the kicks and adds some audio channel-surfing hand drums to this mix, while the nearly 23 minute [reprise] version is something else entirely. Shoegaze-like in its abstraction, cv313 run their machines through waves of delay and reverb until they resemble the ripples in a tide pool, a mandatory headphone listen for the acid set.
