Rod Modell and Stephen Hitchell have locked down one of their famous live performances for their first full-length release since their soundtrack to the 2012 film Silent World. Recorded in 2013 at the Detroit label’s 10th anniversary party, Ghost in the Sound offers a glimpse into how two techno masters do their thing in a live capacity. Heavily indebted to their city’s famous sound while also pulling in elements from dub techno and NYC house, the twelve parts of Ghost in the Sound demonstrate a fantastic command of stuerm und drang to ensure that, while the beat may go on, what happens around it remains invigorating.
