Belgium label WeMe Records adds a second volume to their carefully curated selection series of Drexciya/Dopplerefekt’s Heinrich Mueller remixes and edits with False Vacuum 2. It’s a noble pursuit, assembling these rare tracks (3 of which make their first appearance on wax) onto one easy to use compilation that shows off the very many sides of one of Detroit techno’s most favourite sons. Whether it’s jagged, minimal club fare like his remix of Cisco Ferreira’s ‘Womans Scent’ or dizzying electronica like his take on Duplex’s ‘Autosug’, False Vacuum 2 proves why Mueller’s work is spoken of with such reverence.
