Analogical Force brings us the Eigengrau EP by Bewwip. Eigengrau refers to the uniform dark grey background that many people report seeing in the absence of light, setting a fitting context for the six tracks of futurist electro contained within. That’s not to say it’s without any colourful elements - ‘SQ1 (AF MIX)’ is a standout moment of emotive expression & ‘QBB FALREUP’ is all strutting interplanetary funk. The record’s overall identity however is one of intertwined 303s, acid squelch and break edits - monochrome function spiked with unpredictable swerves, making it a versatile record in the bag of the more adventurous DJs.
