Last year’s beloved Asakusa Light LP for Rush Hour (his first in 25 years), helped solidify an alternate history a series of reissues via DJ Hunee in 2015 had started to open up: what if Terada’s earlier work had gotten the praise it was due at the time? Would he have been a primary house influence this whole time? In any case, Terada is rounding out his victory lap with two new Asakusa Light remixes from Byron The Aquarius and Alex Attias on a short run 12”. Byron adds a bit of piano-house spin to ‘Bamboo’ Fighter’, while Attias takes ‘Takusambient’ on a disco-adjacent joyride.
