Finnish producer Recue makes his debut on the Analogical Force label with a new EP entitled Paramnesia. Taking cues from both classic-era braindance and electro, and more contemporary bass music, the Helsinki man places this rough and tumble, yet expertly crafted music in its own sort of timeline. The heaving low end and siren synths of the title track plot rave-y elements against a head-y halftime drumbreak that’s more dubstep than drum and bass, while the equally intense ‘Aridity’ circular techno stomp buries alien-like vocal chatter beneath its storming kicks.
