A long overdue vinyl repress of Future Sound of London’s Dead Cities, originally released in 1996 with two tracks making the UK top 15. Regularly fetching hefty sums on Discogs (a mint condition copy sold for over £100), it’s now firmly in the cult classic realm and is often regarded as their most accomplished record. Often recited along with other UK rave associated luminaries, Dead Cities is a reminder that FSOL had a more ambitious and diverse sound than they’re given credit for. A time capsule to the heady nineties and as satisfying as it was the first time round.
