Oz Echoes: DIY Cassettes and Archives 1980-1989 excavates gems from Australian underground music past, committed to vinyl for the first time by the trusty Efficient Space crew (Sky Girl, Wilson Tanner etc). An array of obscure recordings make up it’s eleven decidedly DIY tracks, ranging from tripped-out dubby psychedelia to synthesiser led lo-fi pop. The influence of outsider genres pushing boundaries and cross pollinating between scenes from Europe to Jamaica can be heard throughout, distilled through Australia's own sun bleached lens.
