Barcelona’s Wah Wah store has been providing Spain and beyond with cutting-edge independent tunes since 1992, and this limited LP from brothers Wolf-J and Eckart Seesselberg, a remaster of the 1973 original, sounds as groundbreaking as its fresh-faced competitors. Nine tracks recorded from 1971-73 point at the decade’s new sound, with croaking rapid-fire synths on ‘Verhütungsfreudenwalzer’, siren-like pads and dub static on ‘Jeder Ist Heutzutage Glücklich’ and flitting drone horror on ‘Auszug Aus Einem Konzert In Der Düsseldorfer Kunsthalle’. A fantastic a cross-section of electronics, ‘Synthetic I’ is limited to 500 copies (each comes with postcards and inserts).
