Originally released in 1971 Elektron Kukéso was the debut release of Swedish pop musician Hans Edler. Composed entirely out of electronics, Elektron Kukéso is a highly experimental pop album that demonstrates production techniques pioneering at the time. The hymn-like ‘Oändlig’ is a dizzying example of vintage, lo-fi electronics whereas ‘Vi Hör Ett Skrik’ features Edler’s deep baritone vocals. Here, rescued from obscurity by Wah Wah Supersonic Sounds, this early example of electronic music will appeal to anyone interested in BBC Radiophonic workshop or the musique concrète works of Pierre Schaeffer.
