Analogical Force offer up another categorising conundrum with the second instalment of Unseen Series. Credited to an unknown mysterious source we may never uncover.

What we do know about Unseen Series II is that it certainly has a kinship with its predecessor, as well as the rock-solid electro and acid foundations of Analogical Force as a whole. We begin in electro beast mode with ‘PIKE’, a vintage traction engine track adorned with reams of discordant leads and a bullish bass line — an approach later echoed in the furious sequencers of ‘UNICOS’ and ‘LITHANAE’. Glimpses of emotive sensitivity emerge in the icy chords of ‘ARCH’, while ‘LYNX’ spins acid-soaked funk into a Berlin-school banger.

A bold reminder that it’s possible to maintain the anonymity of white label pressings even in an age of information overload, the mystifying Unseen Series continues in full force.
