UK beatmaker Letherette follows up the 2013 debut album with his second full-length for Ninja Tune. Last Night On The Planet sees Andy Harber cast his net wide, with genres spanning from hip hop to house.

The record is graced by guest appearances from Dublin MC Rejjie Snow and Stonesthrow affiliate Pyramid Vritra who embed the release in a left-field frame, literally, as their rap performances mark the beginning and end of the album. Complete with Fender Rhodes notes and muted trumpets, the dusty beats align themselves with this aesthetic. The collaboration with Californian duo Jed & Lucia (Ubiquity Records) on ‘Bad Sign’ on the other hand represents one of the downtempo moments of the album, adding some calm in between infectious deep house bass lines (‘Wootera’), and bulbous 80s synth pop (‘Shanel’).
