Wolverhampton duo Letherette seem to be have been putting all their energy into their rebooted Wulf imprint over the past couple of years. A newfound focus within the group is clearly paying dividends as they come through with another EP of fun, fresh jams. EP5 is classic fare from the pair, bringing together J Dilla-style beats, hip-house, future r ‘n’ b and neo-soul in a manner that is at once both breezy and deep. ‘Love Lust’ is a potential summer smash, thanks in no small part to Olivier St. Louis’s charismatic and soulful vocals, and Madlib would be proud of efforts like ‘Pal Mal’ and ‘Pianto’.
