Out on his own Decisions imprint, HPE is rawer and more gnarly than we’ve come to expect from the Aussie producer. Which is honestly only a good thing. The title track begins rather spaciously with off key chords, sub bass and hi hats tinging the colouring. Incessantly swinging drums and square wave badness come in and bruck up the ruckus soon enough though. ‘Swelter’ comes with airs of the paranormal, owing in part to the sonic whooshes passing through its depths. The rest of the EP incorporates similar sounds creating club ready weird out rhythms.
