An essential piece of aquatic dub techno from Fluxion, Bipolar Defect was originally released on Basic Channel's Chain Reaction imprint back in 2000 and is considered one of the all-time classics of the CR label. A timeless deep journey into the recesses of deep techno from Fluxion, spread across four sides of vinyl Bipolar Defect contains a dark undercurrent to its atmosphere, but the track titles don't give away any of its secrets. Each track is drenched in reverb and features booming dub basslines that will devour anyone who hears them on a proper rig. Bipolar Defect could almost be seen as a precursor to Echospace's landmark album The Coldest Season, its shadowy menace always lurking in the echos but never quite rearing its head.
