Fluxion returns to Vibrant Music with an LP of typically lush and ruminative minimal techno. Tracks like ‘Formation’ roll on through dubby fogs, their drums ticking metronomically as strange shapes ripple across the atmospheres. It’s a sound not dissimilar to Arnaldo or the most tender end of Axel Boman’s output. Sometimes Fluxion slows the beats down to a steady downtempo pulse, while at other points he decides that the textures themselves are enough - see weightless, ambient opener ‘Schism’ on this front.
