Warm Embracing is an apt title as Placid One slowly draws you into the deep end of the pool with some lighter fare at the top of the album. The twin downtempo cuts at the start clear the air nicely for the more bombastic ‘CX PALLAS’, and Placid One plays the light and shadow game from there, mixing up air tight serenity and full throttled dance from track to track. It all adds up to an enormously palatable collection that rewards repeated listens.
