A living legend of metal, noise, industrial and everything in between, Justin K. Broadrick returns to the KR3 label for his latest EP under the JK Flesh alias entitled Veneer of Tolerance. Never one to shy away from darkness or push boundaries, Veneer sees Broadrick apply his singular brand of abrasive to some of his most club-adjacent rhythms yet. In fact, the slamming trio of ‘Urge’, ‘Human:Nature’, and ‘Will All Be Done” would slot in very nicely in techno sets of any stripe. Those in search of the typical JK Flesh nastiness will certainly find it in the white-hot opening screamer ‘The Stranger.’
