Pre-order Information

2023 marks 30 years of the massive Birmingham club night House of God. House of God is known primarily for showcasing blistering techno, and its murder’s row of residents (who incidentally have remained in power since the party’s inception) speak truth to that power. Surgeon, Paul Damage, Sir Real, Terry Donovan: these are some of the heaviest hitters in dark and propulsive techno, and to have them all under one roof for even one party, is something to marvel at indeed. To celebrate this very special occasion, House of God is issuing a mind-boggling compilation of tracks from that heady crew and other like-minded travellers as a commemorative box set on their very own HOG Records imprint.

House of God sequenced this box set with a new exclusive tune from each artist featured as well as one “classic” track from the HOG vault in an effort to plot their future and toast to the good times past. Lucky for us, as we get new absolute hammers like the alternate Monic Version of Regis’ ‘Blood Witness’ as well as a review of the iconic ‘Keep Planning’ in all its unreleased 12” version glory. No stranger to high energy, high drama affairs, Surgeon’s new offering ‘Should Really Know Better By Now’ ups the ante even further with a heft that could level dancefloors of any size. The Birmingham box set isn’t all system-swallowing bangers though, as The Acid Guild’s new ‘Fantasy 2023’ offers a little funk swing and a lot of acid as a palate cleanser. Dance heads of any stripe should definitely take notice of this slice of history.
