Italy’s Pearl River Sound makes his debut on Furthur Electronix with an EP length tribute to his late father, Antonio Semeraro. An eclectic mix of sounds incorporating everything from braindance to breaks and acid to ambient, The White Dove is obviously tinged with sadness and loss, but not without humour as well. The busy electro track most likely to get people moving is naturally called ‘Exercise Drums’ while the B side’s downtempo exploration is given the title ‘Ambient Diva.’ Best of all may be the mangled Amen breaks and chopped vocals on the EP’s closing untitled track.
