To say Andrew Weatherall’s friendship with Heavenly Recordings proved fruitful would be a gross understatement. It was at Heavenly founder Jeff Barrett’s office where Weatherall first connected with Primal Scream before leaving his indelible mark on Screamdelica. In turn, Heavenly’s roster became Weatherall’s playground for pulling euphoric acid house out of indie rock. From downtempo reworks of Saint Etienne to a psychedelic edit of The Orielles, Heavenly crafts a loving tribute to a true legend.
