As prolific as Legowelt continues to be prolific well into his third decade as a recording artist, the Dutch master is also at the stage of his career when he can start thinking about legacy releases. This is where Classics 1998-2003 comes in. As the record’s subtitle lets on, the baker’s dozen of tracks here are all drawn from the early years of Legowelt’s long and fruitful relationship with Bunker Records. It is, of course, a peerless collection of techno-electro-funk hybrids.
