Film Records (Brainwaltzera, Grandbrothers) present a new single from little-known artist Keshavara. Well, we say little-known now, but on the evidence here Keshavara might be due a breakthrough at some point soon. ‘Creators Of Rain’ is a gorgeous lo-fi neo-soul jam that recalls the likes of Khruangbin, Eyedress and Jai Paul. It’s all-too-brief run-time - the track stops short of 150 seconds - ensures endless replay value as you go back for another hit. Remix duties are left in the capable hands of Legowelt, and the Dutch producer’s version initially begins as a subtle edit before morphing into a slow, syrupy techno roller ala Soulwax.
