BleeD’s second release of the year comes via label head Volte-Face and his moody and mesmerizing approach to techno. A-side ‘Shirime’ squelches in a quite revolting manner, and this is backed up by insistent kicks and reverbed cow bell dings and heavily brushed hi-hats. The Iori remix brings a breakbeat style drum pattern to it and a slight acid touch to the squelching synth. ‘You Bury Me’ is loopy techno in its purest form. Hung chords and unrelenting yet delicate stabbing pads create the atmosphere for the simple melodic line and percussion to inhabit. And ‘Dead Cat on the Dinner Table’ is as nasty as its title suggests.
