The venerable pairing of Daniel Avery and BleeD label head, Volte Face return for their second release with a collection of truly diverse cuts. Opening with the noisy, proto-industrial ‘Lifted’, before swiftly moving to the pulsating, heads down groove of ‘Rote 3’. ‘Sun in The Night’ again breaks down the dancing material to music more suited to listening away from the club. Though when ‘Rote 4’ comes through your speakers, on a dancefloor is the only place you’ll want to be found. The ep rounds out with a delicately ominous, melodic track in ‘End of The Sky’, equipped with spacey bleeps and growls and underlined with elongated chords that truly build an atmosphere.
