The intriguing new-ish bleeD label provide us with another release of brooding minimal techno, this time courtesy of Seattle’s Archivist & Berlin’s Fugal. Opener ‘Being and Nothingness’ contains a similar amount of existential angst to the Sartre book it takes its title from. Loping forward on a murky locked groove with just a hint of mania to it, the track’s unrelenting minor chord pulse overtakes you completely. ‘Far Horizon’ and ‘Undertow’ contain similarly hypnotic beatwork as well as a showcasing a nice textural range.
