Robot Koch follows up his 2011 album The Other Side with Hypermoment, landing on Modeselektor’s Monkeytown label. Recorded following Koch’s relocation from Berlin to Los Angeles, Hypermoment is a warm, soulful record that fans of artists like John Talabot, Bonobo, and Coma should enjoy. It’s immaculately produced using a variety of analogue instruments and features a slew of guest vocalists to provide intimate vocals. But Koch also brings a personal touch to the album through his use of field recordings, recorded on his travels to New York, California, and Joshua Tree National Park, as well as his own voice which he uses on ‘Care’, ‘Serenade’, and ‘Fernwood’.
