For their second album Weld, Alex Barnett and Faith Coloccia have returned to Blackest Ever Black following 2013’s ‘Retrieval’. As with previous work there is a distinct concept behind the album, as they explore experimental philosophies using field recordings, synths, feedback loops and drum machines. Taking in techno, ambient, drone and all points in between (and beyond) this is a sprawling, epic work that bristles with intensity.
