Soul Jazz Records’ consistently wonderful Studio One reissue series sets aside a full LP for the great Sugar Minott. For many years Minott was a fixture at Clement ‘Sir Coxsone’ Dodd’s studio - indeed, it was his trick of singing new tunes over label instrumentals that would give birth to dancehall. Sugar Minott At Studio One collects some of his finest moments for the imprint on one album. Originally released in 2005, this one was long overdue a re-press.
