He’s been keeping himself relatively low key for the last few months but David Kennedy finally returns as Pearson Sound. ‘REM’ is only the second release to come our way on his own Pearson Sound label (despite the misleading PEARS24 catalogue number) and it’s another A grade effort of shaking junglist house. With a focus on his signature percussion, Kennedy draws skeletal figures of sound, pitting linear rhythms against his a minimalist backdrop.
