Saxophonist and composer Bendik Giske goes out all guns blazing on his debut release. The Berlin-based artist’s ‘Adjust’ is a stirring listen - the way Giske brings all available elements of his saxophone into play to create a piece that is at once ambient and rhythmic is reminiscent of Colin Stetson. On this Smalltown Supersound EP, Giske is backed up by a heavyweight cast of remixers - Total Freedom and Lotic coax yet more beauty from the original, Deathprod’s version descends into chaos, and Rezzett comes through with the banger.
