We first encountered the music of Justus Nnakwe after seeing his Bizi Body 12” on the racks of now defunct Edinburgh record shop The Living Mountain. It didn’t hang around long. Under the moniker Jay-U Experience, he debuted in Nigeria with his 1977 LP Enough Is Enough, fusing reggae, funk and psych rock in a way that still sounds quite unique when compared with Nigerian records of the same era. Soundway bring this impossibly hard to find album back to life with a high quality reissue, complete with dancefloor killer ‘Some More’.
