Joseph Deenmamode aka Mo Kolours is back on his familiar One Handed Music outpost with another extended session of multi-referencing exotic electronica under the How I (Rhythm Love Affair) EP. Opening with soulful vocals and shackling percussion, the sweetened ‘How I’ is a sunny slice of afro-dub, followed by reductionist, refined rhythm work on ‘Sega Chuckle’ and more relaxed, melodic styles on ‘On My Way’. The half-English, half-Mauritian producer then slips into beat mode with the melancholic string swagger of ‘Sumerian Mother’, ending on a more up-tempo note with ‘South LDN’ mixing a tipsy melodic synth array with freeform dub-funk.
