More top-shelf EBM from Desire, this time in the form of a split transmission from Statiqbloom and Zex Model. Fade Kainer aka Statiqbloom and Zex Model, Røsenkøpf guitarist Soren Roi, each contribute four sides of dark, pulsating electro. Of the two, Kainer goes bigger on his half, crafting crisp, crunchy tracks like opener ‘Atrophy of Three’ and ‘Contaminate’ that bang like hammers. Roi favours industrial slow-grinders like ‘Forbidden Alterations’ and ‘Teosophia’. It’s when the two like producers’ styles overlap that this release clicks, making for an atypically cohesive split release.
