Italian producer Federico Leocata presents his first release for the Last Known Trajectory imprint, impressing with five tracks of sci-fi electronic music existing somewhere between classic electro and techno. The EP seems to split itself into parts which concentrate upon atmospheric John Carpenter-esque arpeggios and those which bring ominous synthetic choirs to the fore, with these shifting elements always underpinned by blunt electro drum patterns. The undoubted highlight is ‘Misidentification Syndrome’, where submerged choirs breathe life into a sinister broken chord pattern amongst ticking hi-hats.
