Last Known Trajectory continues its fine run of form, moving on from famed releases from Visonia and DMX Krew with a debut release from Spanish producer Alberto Sanmartín aka Synth Alien. Spread across the four cuts on his Memories EP, Sanmartin deals in cyborg-tinged electro infused with a sense of science fiction, leading first with the apocalyptic ‘Battle At Red Mountain’, followed by the lighter, early-Warp leaning melodies of ‘The Night That Lights The Day’. Turning over, things start to gather pace, with the lush synth wash of ‘Flying Over The Steppe’ eventually progressing into a snapping electro jaunt, whilst ‘We Never Came Back’ takes a more abstract approach, gradually fading out with a goose-bump inducing ambient ending.
