Bleep

Following on from his Die Reisen EP with Dopplereffekt, Chilean producer Nicolas Estany resurfaces on British electronic label Last Known Trajectory with a solo EP as Visionia. Resuming his trance-infused synthesizer harmonies, Estany manages to strike a balance between subtly pumping beats and some accomplished synth landscaping. The melody of the title track floats freely in an endless space created by sustained string chords. ‘Lunar Garden’ goes on an excursion to the hypnotic neon-coloured times of techno, announced by the pitched-down vocal sample of ‘Deception’. Classic reverb on the drums and echo effects give Journey to Humility a retro-futurist touch.
