Detroit trio Hi Tech return to Omar S’ FXHE imprint for their debut LP of Motor City mayhem entitled DÉTWAT. With guest verses from the likes of fullbodydurag, djkillasquid, Link Sinatra and a handful of other Detroit luminaries, Hi Tech really puts the city under the spotlight for this run through virtually every kind of electronic subgenre ever to get kicked up in the midwest. Tracks like the rough and tumble ‘nu munni’ and ‘glitch n ass’ could kill on any kind of dancefloor, but it's the headier, red-eyed and nearly ambient ‘zooted’ that truly feels like music of their own invention.
