From the artist now known as Lolina comes a much needed revival of the “first and last Inga Copeland album” Higher Powers. Copeland’s singular songwriting and DIY productions have proved irresistible over the years in their lo fi 128kbps textures, with intimately airy vocals rising above sparse instrumentals. Deep, moody subs and solemn synths colour the songs here, framing shining tones, quietly chopped up volcanic rhythms and breaks, and a question of “Can I have some hope please?”
