Face The Music inaugurates Lolina's Relaxin Records with a suite of impressionist audio pictures: of lounge jazz, of plunderphonic lofi, of leftfield club musings, all wrapped in a curious screen of experimentation and spoken word. Mantra-like repetitions open the title track over confrontationally spilling drum hits and bass plucks, while jaunty keys and cowbells play in between slinky beats on 'Music Is the Drug'. 'What Is Power' investigates its titular concept in a semi-narrative fashion, with melodies exploring the gaps in between organ vibrations fraught with tension.
