The third chapter of a multimedia story following a resistance group plunged into architectural warfare, Lolina’s Unrecognisable is a concept album exploring the seedy underbelly of a city straight out of a noir film. Notes of jazz, woozily paced rhythms, and lofi synth melodies sneak just below the surface. The bass of ‘Paris Hell Rising’ lurks beneath steely raps on distrust and urban espionage, whispering promises from characters you can’t trust, while the smoky, leftfield verses and R&B vocals of ‘Meet The Devil’ romanticise the melodrama of dimly lit streets.
