From the enchanting Joanne Robertson comes her latest album Blue Car, a batch of infectious and time-lengthening folk songs to let the world float away to. Gathered from her diaristic archive of unreleased recordings spanning ten years, these tracks are raw and intimate, with reverb drenched guitar and her siren-like voice calling out from the distance, melodies spiralling and words curling sweetly into mist. The background noise on ‘Band Sit Together’ is loud like a waterfall, and droplets of guitar plucks glitter amongst harmonious waves of strums and strong yet softly soaring vocals.
