Rhyw makes good on his notoriety for unpredictable techno with his Voam debut, taking his punchy beats in an even further leftfield direction. The menacing, piledriving rhythm of ‘Honey Badger’ revolves incessantly around sputtering drum pulsations, matched by the whirlwind of ‘Sharknado’ with its frenzied, mutating synths lurching and glitching all over. ‘Foamcore’ is totally dizzying with its erratic rhythm, forming an abstracted kind of footwork if genre terms can be applied at all to this intense and confounding banger.
