Although Pariah co-launched the Voam label back in 2019 with an EP from Karenn (his raw and noisy techno duo with fellow UK standout Blawan), he has just now gotten around to his solo debut on it with an EP entitled Caterpillar. Caterpillar is a pointed step towards the dancefloor for Pariah after the ambient drift of his 2018 Here from Where We Are LP and all the better for it. The title track has been rinsed by plenty since its debut earlier this year for good reason, but the hyperpop-tinged ‘Frogspawn’ proves Pariah has plenty more tricks to offer for the heads.
