Tri Angle introduce to their fevered world of twisted electronics a new signing in the form of San Francisco duo, Water Borders. 'Harbored Mantras' as a title could not be a better representation of the nine tracks of profoundly chilling bass hymns straight from the darkest depths of their occult. The pair themselves cites influences from across the spectrum - from the contemporary UK dance scene, to Coil, Gamelan rhythms, proto-techno, Scott Walker, African drum patterns and all things dub. What ensues is a debut album of tribal torment and intensity, utilizing subs so close to the low end they practically boom from the earth's inner core.
