UK trio Jabu’s 2020 sophomore album Sweet Company was an intoxicating blend of blurry shoegaze atmospherics, piercing soul music, and dubby lovers rock. A big hit for the Do You Have Peace? label, they were wise to commission two trusted minds like Time Cow and Ossia to take on a few tracks for this remix package. On the A side, Time Cow extends the sparse whispers ‘Us Alone’ to a sleek and synth-y bit of electronica, while Ossia dubs down the already syrupy ‘Slow Down’ into a murky bit of downtempo.
