Milanese producer Piezo returns to Wisdom Teeth with a varied set of club tracks that make good on the promises of his 2020 debut album Perdu’s woozy and splayed rhythms. ‘LSD Superhero’ has the hazy and trippy atmosphere the title might suggest, evident in its reverent, breathy synths, but the fog is soon cleared by the pneumatic bursts of ‘Unto’, and replaced with mechanical gyrations, bubbling microbeats, and lush chords and melodies. Cerebral smatterings of intricate beats are combined with emotional chord progressions on ‘Dijitz’, simultaneously maximalist and introspective with a range only Piezo can produce.
