Seoul-based electronica group Salamanda make their official debut on Facta and K-LONE’s Wisdom Teeth label with their fourth LP entitled In Parallel. An ever-evolving entity, Salamanda makes even further inroads towards traditional “pop music” here, especially on more vocally driven tracks like the early single ‘Homemade Jam’ and the dancefloor groover ‘Paper Labyrinth’. Experimentalism is still the beating heart of this project though, and the booming yet dreamy dembow beat on ‘Tonal, Fluid’ adds yet another new wrinkle to Salamanda’s malleable sound and vision.
